Lena Kaligaris

Lena is 15 years old. She were born at the end of August and so she is the oldest one of the four. She has a younger sister. She is a virgin. Everyone says she is beautiful, the only things that aren´t perfect are her big feet. She has dark hair and mediterrainian skin. Like her grandfather she hast green-grey eyes. She visits the public elementary school.

She likes arts and she´s very good in it. She is also a very shy and introvert person, so she has problems to communicate with foreign people and she doesn´t speak a lot. She doesn´t like people looking at her. She loves her family and because of that she wishes she´d speak Greek. She is a very social person and her friends call her 'Len'.

Carmen Lowell

Carmen is 15 years old and were born in the middle of September, so she is the youngest one of the four. She visits the public elementary school. Her mother is a Puerto Rican and her father an American. She looks more like her mother, but she doesn´t like the way she looks. She hates her body and her butt. Her parents are seperated and her father moved away. She misses her dad a lot. Carmen is the one who begins and who ends the story. She is very creative and thinks everything has a special meaning. She is the most natural one of the four and she believes in god. She is a virgin. Her friends call her 'Carma'.

Bridget Vreeland

Bridget is 15 years old and at the beginning of the book she is a virgin. She has a twin brother. She has amazing hair and a beautiful body. Her mother died a few years ago and since that her father tries to do just the best for her. She visits a private school. In her free time she plays soccer and she is very good at it. So she visits a football camp in the summer holidays. She loves doing sport in general. She always seams very strong, but sometimes she has bad days too. She is very good at dancing. Her friends call her Bee and sometimes Bumble Bee.

TabithaTomko-Rollins (Tibby)

Tibby is 15 years old and she is the rebel of the four. She is a virgin. She visits a school called Embrace. She has black hair and a nose ring. She is very interested in doing films, she always was, since she was 10 years old. To earn some money she works at Wallman's, a supermarket, but she hates that. She has a younger sister and a younger brother and she doesn't understand her parents becoming more childs after her. She has a rat called 'Mimi'. Her friends call her Tibbs.

 

Effie

She is the sister of Lena. She is 14 years old. She has green-grey eyes like her sister. She is a person who always needs to have something special, something that have no other person. Like her grandmother she likes to cook and to eat too. Effie is younger than her sister, but she has a lot of expiriences with boys. She knows how to talk to them, but she is a virgin too. She doesn't really matter to cheat on her boyfriend what her sister doesn't like. Her nickname is Eff.

Bailey

Bailey is a twelve-year old blond girl who lives in the neighboorhood of Tibby. She has leukemia. She tries to look older and she is a bit like Tibby when she were twelve. She is afraid of not having enough time to see everything she wanted to see.

Eric

Eric is 19 years old and he works as a football coach in a holiday camp in Mexico. He likes Bridget, but he is very responsibly so he fights against hisself.

Kostos

Kostos had a car accident with his parents and his younger brother and he was the only one who survived. Since that day he lives in Greece with his grandparents. He works there on a fishing boat. Everyone in the village likes him, because he is a very nice and friendly boy. 

 

Brian McBrian

Brian is a nice guy who is always at Wallman's and plays videogames. Tibby and Brian get to know each other, because of Tibby's movie.
